so this is how I am getting robbed in NC.
I am trying really hard to get a stinger GT2 here, but deals here in NC are abysmal.
I don't know what to respond to it too, the Sticker price itself is 4k higher, dealer discount no where near, and I will end up paying by lease/buyout what others pay for financing only.
This place is 3 hours far from my place and they had the Hi Chrome Red AWD GT2, so the dealer Told me, you have to travel this far because this is the only one available and you want that, so he thinks he can bully me in buying that car, I asked him several questions on why sticker price is high , he just kept saying dealer addendum.
having pretty bad experience here and right now it seems 2020 models are getting extinct now.
If anyone can advice me on how to respond and talk to this guy, who had this kind of experience, here I saw people getting this car for between 38-43k GT2 and I am no where near.

The market for the Stinger has changed drastically this year. You can’t get the deals this year that you could last year. It all seemed to change when Doug Demuro promoted his car on YouTube to his millions of followers.

I am local to a Henrick Kia dealership and they have a High Red Chroma GT2 on their lot with a reasonable advertised price. However, that is a RWD car. If you want AWD it is going to be harder to come by in NC especially in a specific color like that.

I bought a RWD Stinger GT2 from them and I honestly wish I had gone with the AWD instead. However, that is only because my RWD car breaks traction at full launch. If you are driving the car in any normal situation in NC I don’t think the AWD is really going to be worth it.

Would you consider a RWD GT2? I found several Red RWD cars in NC with more reasonable prices.

Those lease payments look dumb. I bought my car for low to mid $600s per month. You are probably going to end up some where around $44k-$46k out the door for a RWD Red car in NC right now. Probably more like $46k-$48k out the door for an AWD model in Red.

Also don’t let them charge you any markup at all. That is B.S. My car had a couple thousand extra on the sticker and they just ignored that when I actually bought the car.

I did a search on cars.com and there are just a couple of cars that fit your needs in NC. Some of those dealers may be willing to deal. Others won’t.

Here are some links to cars you could try. Just have a set out the door price in mind. Then figure out whether you are going to lease or buy it. Then just call or email each dealership with the number you want. Stick to your guns and eventually a dealer will bite if your number is reasonable.

so the screenshot attached is what Keffer Kia gave me, they put 4k extra on sticker and then telling me this car is for the much.
I asked them that I don't need them at all, so they said it comes installed, we cannot get it removed :/.
So what do you mean by if you have reasonable number in mind, I got a quote from a dealer back in July for 2020 model GT2 AWD with OTD 41k, but due to some circumstances, couldn't take it during that time and I went back to that guy and now all they have is 2021 models with them.
I know I missed the opportunity then and there but right now 48k OTD looks too much for a stinger, I believe.

A lot has changed with respect to price for the Stingers since July. Resell value of the Stingers has been steadily going up since the sales of the car have been unexpectedly high this year.

The rarer the car color the harder it is for you to get a deal. Expand your color choices and that will help a lot. What would be your second favorite color choice?

I guess that's the only option I have right now to be more flexible with colors, I started on with ceramic then loved the red and now the 2nd favorite color is aurora black for me. I swear working on a complex problem is easier then choosing the color lol

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
And one more thing, if you might know or can help me out with, does out of state lease works? I can look around different states to find the car but I don't know how it actually works?
I checked with Koons Kia, they told me that they can't do out of state leases, "their system doesn't allow it" but can do out of state purchase.

I have done an out of state lease in D.C. bringing the car back to NC before. However, that was with a Mercedes. A lot of dealerships won’t do out of state sales for a variety of reasons. Kia dealerships may be different.

Koons posts a lot of deals that aren’t actually real. They rarely would actually sell you a car at their advertised price.

Have you considered a Grey AWD GT2? There is a nice one near me with a reasonable price. If that had the red interior that would be the only thing I would trade my car for. The Grey exterior does look nice but I am not a fan of the black interior.

oh yeah saw this today too at Hendricks kia at Cary, didn't like it much. I guess he told me he might do a red package on it but they quoted me with rebate and dealer discount for hi chrome red GT2 RWD for 46k OTD :/ and they said the rebate is 16 percent (with kia cash back) and was trying to manipulate me in believing that they are the ones giving us the discount on MSRP so he was trying so hard to make me believe that Rebates are actually dealer discounts :/

I did a video on leasing. This is geared more towards leasing and keeping the car the entire time as opposed to the lease buyout option. However, it has good information in it about what to watch out for in leases.

I would be careful with the lease buyout option right now. The lease incentives are actually decreasing right now. It is becoming less and less advantageous to do the lease buyout as opposed to just buying it.

I had a substantial amount of money I was rolling into my car so I actually did a long no interest loan. I still have a reasonable payment and that zero interest makes rolling the money in bearable. Look into purchasing it with a long term low or no interest loan. I am not saying it will necessarily be better but it is worth looking into.

Time tested and ever classic black on black interior. No worries about this year's gotta have color that is no longer popular next year. 20200703_130240.webp

Can I ask in my search for a Kia Stinger, how you got this price and did it happen with the Koons dealer or somewhere else? As I'm from that area in VA. Trying to find a deal like this when the 2021 chip shortages get better. Thanks.
Prices like that don’t exist anymore. The lease rebates are about half of that now for the 2022 cars and the 2021 cars are really hard to find now.

We will probably never see an out the door price like this again. I got a loaded 2021 AWD GT2(MSRP $54,900) for $45,300 in April. It would be hard to get that car for less than $48k now. Car prices are just going up and up.
