I have the 2022 GT line with the 2.5t engine AWD. Can someone confirm if the engine uses both GDI + MPI ? In the owner's manual, I don't see any references to that. Thoughts?

Yes
It's direct injection and port injection
I have the 22 and have been super happy with the motors performance and how simple it is too service

Thanks. Do you or anyone have it referenced by Kia? I can't find it any where. Agree....love the engine/car! I have a few nit-picky gripes but overall, extremely happy.

Pop the hood, remove the engine cover, and check with your own eyes. :) It isn't too difficult to spot the two sets of injectors.

There are other benefits to the Smartstream architecture. The use of air-coolant intercooler is a huge plus. My son and I have driven his G70 2.0T and my Stinger 2.5T at the local AutoX, and sitting at the grid, the IAT stays much more stable with the 2.5T, compared to the 2.0T. The 3.3TT also uses air-air intercooler, so it would behave more like the 2.0T as well. This means, by the time we creep up to the starting line, the 2.5T's IAT is often 10-20degF cooler. That means less power sag due to IAT fluctuation.

Thank you. Can you post a pic so I know what I and others should be looking at. Thank you!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I asked this question some 3 (4?) years ago. Had a healthy discussion on the topic. Search my screen name for posts in 2021.

Heres a video I made showing the upper injectors, and how I installed the ethanol sensor on the 2.5
