Kia hints that Stinger will "E"volve ............

It will be interesting to see if Kia designs a hybrid or EV Stinger to try to boost sales to keep the model alive. It sounds like Kia doesn't want to just throw in the towel on such a great car, but I wonder how buyers would react to more "environmentally friendly" engines.

Wouldn't be difficult to do w/ the next gen platform designed to accommodate both hybrid/PHEV and EV, which would be a necessity if Kia wants to continue selling the Stinger over in Europe.

The eG80 reportedly has 310 miles of range and will get a level 3 autonomous driving system.

Converting from the likely KDM pricing, we're talking about $80k.

A Stinger with the aspirations of Taycan sounds decent

Kia already has a model w/ Taycan level performance in development.

The question is if Kia needs 2 such models (a Stinger EV likely won't get quite the performance/range chops of the model in development as that's on a dedicated BEV platform).
