I just received a survey from Kia. The email started: "Stinger owners have a passion for driving. Kia engineers have a passion for perfection. To ensure that our engineers deliver on this and meet the expectations of Kia owners, we invite you to participate in our online survey regarding your Kia Stinger. Your feedback will be received by our engineers directly."

Since the paint section of the survey didn't offer options that covered my small paint nick on the ditch moulding, I wasn't able to report that, but I did report what is becoming a more frequent problem with my GT2 shift, which, despite my being very mindful to do things correctly, is still intermittently shifting from R to N when I'm doing everything right to shift to D.

Have any of you received this survey, and if so, what problems are you reporting? Were there problems you wanted to report, but couldn't, due to the limitations of the survey options?

I got a survey a couple months ago, I think it was J.D. Power (or not -- I forget) that was totally the AV system. No questions about mechanicals or interior.

This one was was conducted by Enprecis for Kia (which also, it appears, does research for Audi, Toyota, Porsche, and Subaru, among others). It allowed one to check boxes for every system of the car that we've had a problem with, and then asked more precise questions and provided text boxes so that those of us taking the survey could describe problems in detail. Interestingly, in the paint section it mentioned every problem forum members have been talking about here—except the one I've had, so I wasn't able to report it in a text box.

I don't remember the name of the surveyors either: but I filled out a rather hefty owners survey a couple of months after I got my Stinger. It was hardcopy, not online. It made me eligible for some kind of drawing or sweepstakes, whathaveyou. I didn't fill it out for that: I wanted to participate in an information gathering effort to make the Stinger better.

Given that I'm the only one so far to mention having received the engineering survey, I'm guessing it's only going out to those who've owned the car for a "long" time. I've owned mine for 8 months, although not quite 3000 miles. (I really need to drive more!)

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
