Not my cup of tea. Made a heavy car even heavier with no power mods.

Damn well then I guess

Ohhhh. Then I change my tune. Still not a fan of wide body panels where rivets are visible; But those engine mods trump the aesthetics. ;)

Your stinger is definitely my favorite so far giving me something to aspire too. Great build. I’m trying to go performance first eventuality down the line go widebody.

People used to say the same thing to me about my widebody mustang, but there are huge upsides to having riveted or bolted on body panels.
  1. Can be removed for repairs, repainting, wrapping, or any other number of reasons
  2. You don't risk damaging as much if something was to happen. If the panel is bonded to the body and smoothed/painted for a fully integrated look, you risk seams cracking or showing due to body flex or damage from impact.
  3. Cost. It costs significantly more to make the panels smooth and look like one piece. This also requires a true professional to do the body work and make it look like factory, something not easily found in a lot of areas and again costs so much more.
Rivets/bolts aren't for everyone but it has a lot of upsides for the person modifying their vehicle and in my opinion is a much more practical modern solution.

Here's my take, I wouldn't be caught dead driving that but I totally respect the car and think it's a great show car and very eye catching.
