Anyone else's key peeling? seems very odd to me. I wonder if it would be covered under warranty.

looks like it is due to excessive rubbing against the other keys in your key chain.

You can buy a new key on ebay. Take to dealer they may replace it.

Rubbing, is my guess too. Do you keep your fob in your pocket with a bunch of other keys?

I have it on a key ring with only 2 other keys, and i have never had this problem before with other keys.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Mine did it, that’s why I painted the one. I have no other keys on mine.

Now I understand why my salesman gave me fob gloves for mine. If you can get your fob replaced, it's probably a good idea to glove the new one. The OEM leatherette ones are probably available at the parts counter ($10), but there are tons of nicer ones available if you do a quick search: leather, silicone, etc.

The kia logo already rubbed off on mine, but the fake leather is still ok.

I may hit the other one with clear nail polish and use the ugly fob as my spare.

Mine still looks brand new. But I keep it outside, on a carabiner. After this thread 'alert' I'm sure mine will wear away too, but it looks like it will take a lot longer is all.
