I find that in order to keep the inside of the windscreen clear from steaming up I have to use the AC button quite a bit. Anyone else find that

I rarely drive with aircon switched off, on any car. I hate a foggy windscreen.

Ireland...isn't it rather humid there? That would contribute to fogging.

maybe you have moisture in the car from a spill or having the roof or window open in the rain ???

We have a very dry climate. Except for some off-road backseat activities ;) when I was younger and without my own residence, I've never had an issue here with glass fogging inside the car except after a heavy rainfall on a warm summer day - in either case I usually just rolled down the window temporarily to let the fog clear from the glass.

I've also had fogging happen in rental cars when on business trips to more humid locales, where I'll either do the same or engage the climate controls if it's persistent.

Exactly. We get a lot of humidity here too.

In general, no, it's not a problem because in heavy humidity conditions, I tend to keep the car sealed up and let the climate control do its thing.

Live in Florida, never have the air off. Always on auto.

Do you have a haze on the inside of your windscreen? If yes, get rid of it and see if that helps.

I wish I was young and flexible enough to fog car windows again.

You could always apply some Rain-X Anti-Fog to the inside of your glass that might help. I have the problem on occasion but not that often.

Turning off recirculation, if on, will help prevent and clear condensation on the inside of all glass in the car.

A really old method was to cut a potato in half and rub the surface over the glass (true).
