K8SS Canbus control module experience

Just looking for anybody with experience on how they liked the product and how much it costed to have an installer equip the unit to their car? thanks!

All I've heard is people TRYING to find someplace, ANYPLACE that will install it. Most places won't touch it with a 10 foot pole. If you're not ready to do the work yourself, don't even waste the time on it..

Damnnn thanks for info, yeah I tried looking around the forums I figured it would be a popular upgrade considering you get a lot of features for a decent price but that install man seems tricky. I might be lucky tho my Kia dealership actually wants to install all my mods so might see if I can get lucky and they will do this lol

Installed myself. I skipped a couple of the options (I think the hazard flashing is annoying). Had one bad ground crimp - that was bizarre. All my shitty wire thieves worked fine, but one of my crimps wasn't good. Took a couple of tries, but they eventually pointed me in the right direction. It's super easy if you skip the sunroof - but I really like the auto-open shade and closing everything for me.

Install would have only been a couple of hours had I paid closer attention to the diagrams.

I absolutely love it. I use the remote start occasionally, but the walk-up-and-unlock, just-walk-away-closes-and-locks is super nice.

Idk about doing it myself I’m so bad at stuff like this lol might mess something up even with the instructions. Yeah I would only really use the remote start, Proximity locking and unlock and the sunroof control the other stuff I’m good without it.
