3.3TT K&N Typhoon intake

Wow! Does this make noise. While on sport mode, there is a near constant sssssssss sucking noise, and of course the BOV noise when you let off the accelerator. I honestly thought I had a leak somewhere, so I took the wife home and we grabbed her car.

Came back home, removed all the hoses and re-tightened (re-installed) it again, and the same noise was there. It is louder in sport mode, and pretty reasonable in comfort mode. But at least no MIL or rough running. But man, do these filters suck

They're definitely loud. Easily my favorite mod so far. I like the screaming supercharger on my Regal, but the turbos through the K&Ns just takes the cake.

I seriously thought I screwed up the install. Never had a good sounding intake on my SHO.

LOL. I'm glad you posted this. I was a bit worried myself. I just installed mine this morning and the sucking sound was there at very little throttle. I was worried something was leaking as well. I checked all my fittings, everything was tight. I guess they're just loud AF.

It is also loud when you first start the car. The initial sucking noise is very cool.

Shopping for intake for stinger gts. I want to hear the turbos sing. can you hear the turbos with this intake. If not, which intake will provide the most turbo sound.

Any open intake will suit your needs . Just pick your brand.

Yes. You can certainly hear the turbos with the K&N. I’ve heard the Injen are pretty similar. K&N are easy to install as well.

I like how clean the k&n typhoon intake looks but I want the sound without the oiling. I wonder would the AEM intake be better for me?
