3.3TT K&N panel filters

Is it a waste of $$$$ to put in a set of K&N panel filters. There appears to be more surface area to allow more air to get to the turbos. Is there a remote chance of gaining any PEP with this $100 mod???

I've seen no dynos on them yet. I've asked, but nothing so far.

In my opinion, a different drop in filter on a turbo engine is indeed a waste of money beyond the savings you have over buying many standard filters over the lifetime of ownership. No matter what you do, your engine is only going to use "x" amount of air to complete the combustion process. The standard filters let through more than enough air, unless they are extremely clogged with dirt.
