K&N drop in filter question

The stock airbox is designed to eliminate the swoosh sound. If you want that then you have to do open air intakes.
Kind of figured. I’ll probably get the scoops and filters, and de-prioritize the open air intakes. Other mods add more power, but I’ll likely talk myself into it later this year.

This intrigues me. Not being rude but will come off as such, that is not a very good 60 ft time.

To better this convo, the 12.4 sec time you posted shows that the Stinger picks up tremendously once power is laid to the ground, albeit a 1.4 degree slope. I would say this is more than accurate on the roads we drive everyday. On a strip, might be a 12.5-.6. If the power was laid down how it should've been, you could have a sub 2 sec 60 ft and a low 12 sec car, maybe even trap 117mph.

My quickest 60ft time is 2.02 and that was in 35 degree F weather. Prepped surface and I expect much lower. Good time stamp!
It isn’t just a bad 60 foot. That is a terrible, awful, pathetic 60 foot but that is just the world RWD Stingers have to deal with.

I got some of it sorted out tonight and I had several 2.0 and even one 1.99 60 foot time. Those were all practicing 0-60 mph.

I had a 2.05 60 foot on my best 1/4 mile attempt. It had a hill in it but it was a decent run. On a good prepped track I hope to get down to 12.3 @ 116 mph. I should be able to remove the boost cut with the right traction modifications. I am going to get new tires and hopefully a new intercooler soon.

I'm the same. I'm in love with that turbo sound from a CAI. Ut not willing to risk any type of warranty denial on a 45k car for some noise.

Nice. You're right, prepped surfaces and you'll be running sub 2 secs consistently. I'm waiting for the weather to cooperate to get it out of hibernation. I still have the fuel wires to install which may help the A/F ratio.

I was thinking about getting tires as well. Probably the same but just a wider fitment, probably 275 at most since I'll be keeping the stock wheels. Winter sucks...
