Just took delivery of my Stinger GT

I just took delivery of my Stinger GT2, and as a regular driver of a '12 Mustang GT with some mods - I can testify that it is FAST. I'm going to install the LAP3 uncle chips, which should give me over 400hp at the wheels, then I'll post again
Welcome aboard, @Chris from SoCal! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your brand new Stinger GT! Unless you modded the Mustang, your Stinger is the faster car. I'm REALLY interested in your follow up with the LAP3 Uncle Chip...

The Mustang is mod'd with an OBD programmer that allows you to change the OEM chip settings any time you want (like before you take it back to the dealer for warranty service). It disables all the emission controls - which is completely illegal in California (shhhhh), and I'm guessing I go from 412hp to about 450hp on the 'SPORT' program. It's noticeable. But the Mustang is a bit lighter and sitting on a 6spd manual, so driver technique can shave some extra performance out. A friend with the exact same setup on their '12 Mustang ran 12.7 in the quarter - I haven't track tested mine though.

I definitely think I'll be able smoke the Mustang with the dual Lap3 chips and Cold Air Intake... Going to wait for it to break in before I can really have an old fashioned street race between the two. I'll try to get a video or two of it when the time comes. :-D

I will say I had the Lap3 chip on my 2012 Optima SX (which I sadly traded in as part of my DP on the Stinger), and it was impossible to punch it from a stop and keep it straight - so I do completely expect to get the performance they promise out of it.

Welcome to the forums Chris!

Glad to have you on board and coming from the Optima crew!

Just a quick comment on the Lap3 chip, there is only (1) chip needed for the Stinger. Lap3 in Korea did a few custom chip set ups but those are custom modified and we wont be offering that, at least not at this time!

Can't wait to see what you're going to be doing with your Stinger :)

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

So modded Mustang to stock Stinger is about even on the performance scale. Yes, your tuned Stinger will easily overtake the Mustang performance. And as mentioned above, it is a new revelation that only one chip is need for the LAP3 Uncle tune (as mentioned above)... :)
