• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Just returned home from a 500km trip with a fully loaded stinger with 5 passengers and got an average fuel consumption of 8.5 L per 100 km. That’s using standard 9.1 unleaded fuel and speeds of 115 kmh for most of trip. Very happy with those numbers but also noticed that the car is saying it needs a service in 1100 km that’s a service rate of 7500 km not 10000 km as per manual so will have to check with the dealer to see why that’s occurring

The first service tends to come a little early so they can check to make sure everything is okay - and there may even be break-in oil at first...

That's nice ... similar to what I throw out in the M135xi if also doing somewhat off highway etc. The most extreme I ever managed on 800 km of highway at exactly 120 there was 7.9. 8.5 sounds thus very nice for a vastly heavier car.

Which engine Richard?

Picked up my Stinger yesterday.
The service manual I got stated 7,500km however the Brand manager told me that this should be 10,000km. Apparently the original service schedule was 7,500km but KIA has pushed that out to 10,000km without updating some of their literature.

So I suspect you were set up in the config using on the old interval not the current/advertised one.

Richard i believe you can set the service reminder warning in your car. When i picked my car up i had two set ,one at 3000 and the other at 7500. He changed the second reminder to 10000. Now... my turn for a drive, had the car for 3 weeks done 400 kms. Off to Bathurst and surrounds, see if i can match your 8.5 l per 100. Only 3 of us although ive Mt Panorama to conquer.
