Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your brand new Stinger! What did the Stinger replace for you? I'm glad you found us. :) Check out the forum store and vendor section for all sorts of mod ideas. :)

Good decision. I would have picked Panthera Metal, but my wife wanted Silky Silver, which I am totally satisfied with. But I really do like the subtle menace of the Panthera Metal.

Welcome

Congrats! Great color choice--not that I'm biased. ;) Ceramic is gorgeous as well. The funny thing about a Panthera Stinger is when someone is looking for you and asks what you're driving, you can't say "the grey Kia" or "the black Kia." They'll never find you!

I wish we could purchase a car around here in 30 minutes. It seems like we spend 30 minutes just waiting our turn for the finance manager, with the whole thing taking closer to 5 hours.

Welcome to your new home.

Congrats bro. I had the exact same decision when I got my 2022 Panthera GT1.

The dealership had a GT1 with Ceramic Silver and one with Pathera Metal. I liked Ceramic Silver, but really liked the understated color of Panthera Metal. Gives the car a more sleep look IMHO, but the metallic flakes really pop in sunlight.

Looking at your username it looks like you came from a Camaro 1LE? Was it a 6th Gen 1LE? I came from a 6th Gen V6 Camaro (1LT Trim) and I reaaaalllllyyyy miss the exhaust note from it. It's one of the best 6 cylinder exhausts in the US today, especially with GM's NPP exhaust. I will absolutely die on that hill LOL.

I have the 6th gen 2SS 1LE, it's an awesome balance of having a "raw" car with a big V8 and a more subtle luxury cruiser that gets a little better mileage and works in the winter, although I still wanted a little bit of an edge. The 1LE definitely satisfies my need for an edge in the summer and it's really not all that "raw" (has decent interior options and features), it's just that it's an absolute monster in every way.

I do autoX and the 1LE doesn't suck at it, but I'd really like to try a V6 1LE or 2.0T 1LE on an autocross course. Light and great handling.

You ever try autoX in the Stinger? I know its a big, heavy car but I've been thinking of trying it anyway. Probably not until next year when I get some more miles on it.

Yeah the Turbo 4 and V6 1LEs should be awesome cars at it. The V6 1LE matches the Civic Type R in Car and Drive's lightning lap.

2018 Honda Civic Type R, 3:03.9
2017 Chevrolet Camaro 1LE, 3:04.0

The Civic Type R typically costs thousands more, especially pre-Covid where V6 1LEs could be bought close to 30K. The 1LE really punches above its weight class when it comes to price per performance.

Oh yeah, IMO the ZL1 1LE is just too hardcore. It's a great track weapon, but it never fails that with any hardcore car you'll get people on forums saying "it's fine as a DD". It's a great car with crazy performance, chassis is possibly a little better than C7 (definitely not C8), but that trim level is not meant for the faint of heart. It's more than I'd want to put up with. SS 1LE is plenty "hard" IMO.

I'm going to if it rains or is wet. That's why I got the stiffer sways on the stinger and I got wider wheels and tires coming for it. I'm thinking the long wheelbase will probably suck, but with AWD and decent handling I may be able to do decent in the wet.

My Camaro was a DD. As mentioned, it was a base model V6 but frankly I got tired of the limitations as a DD. When I bought the car I thought I could live with it, but the lack of backseat space, interior storage and crappy trunk opening really got to me.

I really wish GM went with a liftback design like the 3rd and 4th gen, and gave a couple inches of backseat leg and headroom. I know it's not a family car but the backseat was laughable--even worse than the Mustang and Challenger.

It's a great 2nd or toy/weekend car though.

It appears that the Z06 will be a '23 model yr vehicle. This teaser just has sound but it appears that it is a go. Company that I work for manufactures some of the interior trim for the C8 and our production is headed in a ramped up direction.....
Z06 Teaser

To the Stinger......have not been a fan of the '22 wheels but this color makes them absolutely SCREAM. They don't look as good on any other Stinger color even the new "green"....

CONGRATS!!!!!

yeah that's what savagegeese said. To each their own though, my buddy has one and it's not nothing that you can't drive. Little dude likes to try and flex whenever he can. He also has his biases, just like all the youtubers. Sometimes when I watch them I gotta think they're getting paid. Savage Geece shit on the stinger, while Matt moran was laying it on really thick.
