Just got a 2.0 w k&n intake!

Hello, everyone knew member here and learning how to get into the car modification/tuning aspects of car! I just bought and installed the k&n Typhoon intake, I don’t have any suspension or anything like that yet! This was my first purchase and installment! Before you say should have gotten the gt and stuff I know I know but I just traded in my Dodge Challenger for this so I’ve been on the caster side of driving but wanted not comfortable and stylish! Any suggestions on how I can modify the 2.0 any more?
 
Slow down (you, writing, not the car :P). I have to interpret what you said.

There is a growing body of 2.0L (soon to be overtaken by 2.5L) mod talk. There is even a dedicated 2.0L thread: look for it.

Welcome. And theres a bunch you can do to the 2.0. It a depends on what you issues are with keeping the warranty some what intact. Like @ChaneRZ stated those are a good place to start. But it wont be a GT, i know this, and im happy as hell with my 2.0. Enjoy your ride!
 
ChaneRz what kind of sparks plugs would you recommend? I’ve seen the ones on the kdm warehouse site but that is about it! I’ve been looking at the ark exhaust! Thank you for the help! Jb4 doesn’t that come at the end of everything?

For what its worth im running the hks with my lap3. Pretty sure they are good to go with the jb4 as well.

Thank you, I will take a look at the hks what made you go with the lap3 instead of the jb4? Also is your car lowered at all, as well what about an exhaust?
 
Haven't dropped the car yet. Im on the fence about it. Ive had many a dropped rides so the possibility is there. Exhaust wise i ended up picking up the NGM Delta axle back kit from another forum member. He wasn't happy with the sound. I looked at all of them. Im happy with it. Tips are in transit right now. As for the Lap3 over the jb4, again i found it at a killer cost. I did a ton of reading on the jb4, asked questions, and it just wasn't for me right now. Awesome unit from everything ive been able to find, so i can't bad mouh it at all. I will say that at times im confused why so many people are selling them, especially when they are keeping their car. Maybe it played its course for them, dont know. Im happy with the Lap3 it does its job. At some point ill dyno just to see the difference, but im in no hurry.

I have been seeing lots of people selling the jb4, I will do some more research into the lap3 I have heard some things about the dyno as well but haven’t even had my car for a month yet so I’m in no rush hahah! Where on the forum did you find someone selling there exhaust I haven’t been able to find anyone selling exhaust for a killer price

I got lucky on the exhaust. The NGM axle back works on both the 3.3 and 2.0 so i jumped on it. I look ot the classifieds on here a few times a day. And i actually found my chip on offer up. And it was on ebay as well.

As a former 2.0 Stinger owner, I ran the JB4, hks plugs, K/N drop filter. That was as far as I went because I knew I was going to get something different. For what it is worth, I was really sold on the new 2.5 4cycl but dealer didn't have any when i was ready to do something different.

Anyhoo.......JB4 made a big difference on the 2.0 but the 2.5 w/jb4 can get right in the ballpark of a stock GT. Regardless which route you go, put in the work to upgrade the plugs/plenty of logs and the jb4 will reward you with smiles.:sneaky:

Thank you very much for this! I think my next purchase is going to be spark plugs then I will probably do a lap 3 as @Deviate was saying in his idk why people are selling there jb4 so much but I’ve noticed it a lot more!
 
What color did you go with? Sun and sound?
