Yes, but it's all better now. Most of the Yellows were fine anyway, but all got recalled for a free respray (or the owner could trade for a different color, or sell the car back to Kia and pocket $5K cash). Of the resprays, only a couple of cases were reported on the forum of unacceptable work.

Thanks guys ! Yes that colour just pops. Once I saw it I had to have it. It's replacing a Skoda Octavia RS. Which i loved, but it did not love me. Too many problems with that car.

I wasn't aware of the paint recall, should I check with Kia if mine is affected ? I couldn't see any issues with the paint myself.

There are not any "surviving" adhesion issues with the Sunset Yellow. All were thoroughly checked and corrected: Allowing, of course, for human error; but why borrow trouble? The odds are heavily in your favor.

Welcome mate.....where are you located?
It wouldn't hurt to get a history on the car but short of that I'd be giving all areas a close inspection.

Looks like your in NSW are you Sydney based?

Thanks Guys. I am in western Sydney. Penrith area to be exact. I will be contacting Kia Australia and checking up the history of the car for sure. Make sure the paint has been done, and if not, hopefully get a free paint job. Or if it looks good should I not bother ? I dont know. We will see.

And yes I joined the facebook page. I much prefer the format of a forum through. Much easier to find things, and not ask those annoying questions that have been asked a million times before
