Hey guys, I might have made a expensive Bo Bo! I just purchased a JuneBL racing exhaust with downpipe. I have a 2023 GT2 Stinger. It's 3 am and I'm worried that when I install this product that I'm going to get some sort of engine error light come on. or worse some sort of engine damage. How could I be so stupid in my quest for power! Please tell me that there's some out there that had this system and hasn't had any problems but a wicked sound...please!

I have the Jun.BL racing catback and the Jun.BL secondary downpipes, neither threw a code. My car definitely sounds great and I get compliments on the sound all the time. Plus the catback as well as the secondary downpipes are lighter than stock. You'll be fine.

I will warn you the catback coupled with the secondary downpipes will be pretty loud when you're on throttle above 4k RPM and there's no valves. So unless you like loud and proud, I would just stick with the catback. I like loud so it doesn't bother me but it's not everyone's taste.

No problem, anytime! The performance quest is an expensive route. Awesome as hell but expensive, speaking from experience lol.

You are not getting any performance gains, without a tuning. Just the sound, and benefit of shedding some weight, if it's lighter.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Whoa brother, if I could get done have the mods you did I be one happy man. One mod aside from the exhaust we have is the aFe. I haven't installed it yet, but what do you think of that? Basically, I got it to dress up the engine bay...I got red! Can't wait to install it. Did you put it in yourself? I have one more question if you don't mind. Since I'm new to this group, how do you list the mods that you do to your vehicle? I think that's cool to see what other's have done and perhaps get advice. like in your case.
Have a good day
Steve

I've just started on my quest! I think I'm just as addicted to the research and buying the parts as installing them. I have parts new in boxes in my living room, just waiting for the opportunity to install them. But I do love that sound!!

I had the aFe hot/cold side charge pipes and BMS intercooler installed at the local performance shop. I really wasn't sure how the fitment would be since those pipes and the intercooler are different brands.

Everyone list there mods in the signature, which can be edited on your profile.

Thanks Brother,
Believe it or not I also purchased the BMS Intercooler. Although, it hasn't arrived yet.

You should get an improvement in sound but you won't receive any performance gains with the parts you have mentioned so far.

If you want to go faster, you'll need to get tuning. My suggestion if you can afford it, is to get the Lap3 tune and be done with it. Car maintains factory drivability and they have been consistently the fastest and least troublesome route.

Definitely, Lap3 is pretty rad. They're so expensive because the price of an ECU is included. You'll receive a Lap3 tuned ECU, so no need to mail in the factory ECU. Personally, I rather not tune and screw around with my factory ECU.

What about JB4 I heard thats a pretty good one as well? I really appreciate the advice brother . I have a lot of the same parts as yours, granted I yet to install most of them. I think I'm an addict, I get off just purchasing these mods and accessories! I better find a 12 step group...FAST I've been busy this week, but I'm gone to try and list the mods I've bought and installed. We must be kindred spirits because we have the same vision I think . Anyway, as always thanks so much!!

JB4 is a good starter tune, lets you log everything, installs pretty easily, etc..

Plus, you can remove and resell - most ECU tunes lock to your VIN and can't be re-used..

I've done the ECU tunes in the past (Subaru), but I've been happy for 3+ years with just jb4 + E30 + intakes. Trying not to go too crazy this time around.

Oh, and if you like curves at all, you'll want to invest in some sway bars and/or ECS 10. Factory sways are just too soft.

The JB4 is a great piggyback. Even though I had the Racechip GTS piggyback before I got a Lap3 ECU tune, the JB4 is the top piggyback tune for the Kia Stinger. I've attached a video that perfectly sums up the differences between the piggyback's and ECU tunes.

I switched from a piggyback because I wanted a overall smoother powerband. Piggybacks can only modify a few engine parameters so it'll never be as smooth as a good ECU tune. No matter what you end up choosing, piggyback (JB4, Lap3 Pro tuner, Racechip GTS) or ECU (Lap3, Lozic, Tork) you'll enjoy the results. Just be sure the change to HKS M45IL spark plugs.

I ordered a set of Super Pro swaybars front and rear. Again, haven't installed yet. Heard there's pretty tough to get to bolt on the rear sway bar! Behind fuel tube I think? Didn't know if this is something I can do, or have a suspension shop install this. But that feels like cheating...where's the satisfaction of having someone else doing it?

It's not that bad.

Thanks for the comment! I'm pretty new to the group and everyone so far has just been great and extremely open and honest about their experiences. Looking at everyone mods and accessories Holy cow! I said I'm gone to devote some time to listing some of what I've purchased so far. Even though I'm way behind on the installation phase But like I said, just getting the parts is half the fun!! Hopefully, I'll get out in the garage this weekend and get to work. Anyway. thanks again.

You can defuse a bomb, you can get at a 14mm bolt. It's just fiddly.

Its a route that a lot of people like and enjoy. I don't use mine anymore and am no longer a fan of piggybacks.

However, for the money and what most people are looking for, it's tough to beat.

As others have mentioned, you will mostly get a sound increase with the secondary downpipes. No CEL should occur and your engine will remain in good shape. Issues we see mostly stem from catless primary downpipes. It is common that people get these two confused.
