I just had the MBRP active exhaust and Jun bl downpipes installed on my 2022 Stinger GT1.I also have the aFe intake. A day later I put the petal to the floor on the interstate when all of a sudden all of the boost pressure was released out the blowoff valves. The car then went into limp mode with no turbo boost. I checked the code at the auto parts store I think it was 0234 which is overboost. When I got home I disconnected the battery for a minute, after that the check engine light was off and all power was restored. Is it normal to throw a code after installing downpipes? Also I just received my jb4. Will that help or hurt the issue? THANKS!!!!

I’ve seen on here multiple times with similar mods as yours the car will over boost sending the ECU into limp mode. Usually when the engine is not fully warmed up.

Thank you for the feedback, It's much appreciated. I'm installing the JB4 when I get home. Hopefully that will help.

That should fix it, you’ve increased airflow and without ECU compensation you’re building too much boost.

Let me know how the Jb4 install goes and what you think, I’m very close to picking one up if I end up keeping my car.

I definitely will keep you posted. Can't wait.

All I have to say is WOW problem solved!!! So far I love it. Worth it's weight in gold. Best mod yet. The car is sooo much faster. Now it pulls me back in your seat. So far I've only tested MAP 2.

Awesome, did you get the Bluetooth setup? Easy to install? I think I’m going to get one soon.

Yes definitely the Bluetooth. It's a must have. My car now runs better than ever. Now the exhaust screams. I now have so much more control over my car. On MAP2 the 0-60 on the draggy was 3.98sec. I only did one pass on a backroad. Do you already have intake and exhaust? Also make sure to change your spark plugs, make sure they are gapped around .022 thousandths. I hope this helps your decision.

Thanks for the info! No my car is completely stock, I used it for work commuting but now I have a vehicle provided so I’m thinking of keeping the Stinger and modding it. I was keeping it stock for warranty/reliability since I was putting 1000 miles a week plus on it. I’m torn on the intakes, I’ve seen lots of people say their intake temps went up with them and actually gained power switching back to stock air boxes. I’m also hesitant on exhaust as so far everything I’ve heard only seems to make it louder, I haven’t heard an exhaust on a Stinger I have liked yet.

First I tried the k&n intake. They were terrible, lost a lot of hp sucking in hot air from engine bay. I put the stock air boxes back on. Finally I went withe the aFe tekeda intake. The aFe comes with air box's which makes it a true cold air intake, and it's sooo much better. I love it. I hope that helps. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

How is the sound with the AFE intakes? I’d love to hear the turbos. That’s definitely the way I’d go, I’ve seen lots of people say their power went down with K&N/open intakes.

You can hear the spool and small blowoff but sound is pretty minimal. Even if you take out the plugs.
Every day driving I don’t really hear it unless I floor it.
