I'm very excited to be picking up my Stinger GT-Line S (Premium 2.0) here in the UK on Saturday. I've been following the Stinger since the first images of the production car were released in Jan/Feb 2017 and have been obsessed ever since! You name a video or a news article about the Stinger and I've seen it! Sometimes more than once! Started off watching entire 30 minute videos on YouTube about the Stinger, all in Korean - didn't understand a word, but at the time they were all we had to go on! Raced home to watch the Stinger on the Grand Tour and watched the race a few times like an excited kid at Christmas! Eagerly awaiting the prices to be released in late October/early November and booked a test drive, which was amazing. I was worried about driving it but it came naturally and felt like I had been driving it for years! That was only a short 30 minute test drive, so after a few more months of checking daily on here and the internet for more new content on the Stinger I arranged for a second extended test drive, which I did a few weeks ago. The dealer was kind enough to let me take the Stinger out by myself, which I was very appreciative of. Unfortunately there are no 2.0 Stingers to test drive in the UK and as the 3.3 GTS is too expensive to run in the UK with tax, insurance and petrol being relatively high, I paid the deposit on a 2.0 Stinger and paid the balance in full today.

My girlfriend says she’s happy I’m getting the Stinger and that she might be able to get me to talk about something other than the car for once and finally go back to having a two-person relationship again! Very excited and can’t wait to get behind the wheel of my very own Stinger!

welcome to the hive. congrats on your stinger. please, post some pics. we all love talking about our stingers, heh heh heh, so give the g.f. your credit card, let her loose at marks and spencers and stay on the forum and shoot the breeze. of course, i gave the mrs the credit card and let her loose in nordstroms, i don't know how much she spent, but a tractor trailer just showed up and the forklift is moving towards the open doors.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your brand new Stinger GT! I hope you post a few pictures when you get it home. What will the Stinger be replacing?

Welcome aboard...Congratulations!!!
I think you may be the first owner form the UK I've seen. Don't quote me on that, regardless. Very happy you found us.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Well done, and yes the stinger seems to have that affect.
It still does for me and had mine for close on 3 months now.
Never had that with any other car

Welcome & congratulations on your new ride, enjoy. Where in the UK are you located?

thanks guys - will be upgrading from a Kia Cee'd, so to a completely different beast - The Cee'd is practical and has a big boot space, which is something i was impressed that the Stinger has - for me it's the perfect combination of looks, power and practicality.

I've only seen 2 other users from the UK. The Stinger in the UK is only available to certain dealers and each dealer is only allocated 12 Stingers per year, so where i live it's certainly going to be a exclusive car to drive and apart from the dealer test-drive vehicle i have yet to see one on the road. I'm based in the South-East of England and only 3 dealers out of 7 will have Stinger for sale so a potential maximum of 36 in the immediate area where I live. I intend to keep the car until it conks out (after all, what more can you need in a car?), so not too worried about residuals/depreciation.

Will take a few photos and post them on here - paid for a personalised plate too, which although makes the car look older than it is, it neatly spells "Stinger" as close as possible using UK compliant plates, which is pretty cool.

The deal with my girlfriend is that i will take her out on days/trips out in the Stinger, in return for having to put up with my obsession over the past year or so lol. A fair trade and i get to drive the Stinger more, so a win-win! She loves the car and says it has a cool factor that she feels even as passenger.

The weekend can't come quick enough!

Understand completely, as I am in that stage now and hope to purchase by end of summer. It is an obsession! Enjoy your new ride!

Never wanted to buy a new car. Waste of money! Had a number of leased cars though whilst working. Retired now, a mere 66. My 3.3 GTS makes me smile every time I l see it and drive it. Smiles per mile - as my son says. Also got a personalised gel plate. 25mpg so what :)

Your son is bang on the money, it's such a joy to drive every time! Whereabouts in the UK are you from? Would be good to build up an idea of where Stingers are being sold. My dealer has sold 5 (including mine) as of end of April, so i know there are Stingers out there somewhere!

Hi sorry I didn't get back sooner. I've been trying to load my car piccy onto to the forum! How do I do that :-/ I'm near Salisbury where are you?

PS Have seen one Stinger parked up outside an office, not on the road as such.
