Considering JB4. I have a 2018 Stinger GT2 RWD.

Mods:
RaceChip GTS on highest map
Tork Intakes
Borla Catback
Will be installing snorkels and removing shroud

Fuel:
91 Octane with enough Boostane to go up to 101. Typically around 95/96

Not interested in going WMI

Dynapack results (~98 octane):
400 whp (increase of 77 over stock)
500 torque (increase of 102 over stock)
Boost = 20.5
AFR = 10.5 at high RPMs

0-60: 4.3
1/4: 12.3 @ 113.8

@Terry@BMS

How do the JB4 on map 5 results compare? If I'm not mistaken map 5 is the most aggressive pre-defined map.

Thanks.

Since that isn't a dynojet you'd only be able to measure the difference by doing a same day dyno comparison switching around tunes and maps.

On a dynojet you can usually make 40-50whp over RaceChip with the JB4. What that comes out to on your dyno no idea. The JB4 is a tuning system so you can tune it as aggressively or conservatively as you'd like.

Thanks @Terry@BMS

Does the JB4 have an internal timer to delay an increase to boost over stock until the engine oil temp reaches a minimum level for engine safety?

As Terry pointed out dyno numbers can vary from the same dyno between days or even within the same day, let alone between dynos, therefore whp and torque comparisons are not all that telling.

There is a whole range of 0-60 and 1/4 mile times floating around the forum from numerous JB4 users, however to set my expectations accordingly I would love to get community feedback from users with my mods that only use gasoline and not WMI. With the JB4 on the map 5 setting, because if I'm not mistaken this should provide the fastest times depending upon fuel. This assumes the AFR is set to a safe level.

For me to justify the move from RC to JB4 here are the numbers I need to see
0-60 = ~3.75
1/4 = ~11.75

For folks that vote, if you can share how your mods and/or octane differs from the question and what your time is for both 0-60 and 1/4 mile, that would be appreciated. Thank you!

No, what an awful idea! You go to start your car before a race, even if it's up to temperature, and you don't get any performance gain until a timer goes off?

The JB4 reads engine temperature diretly and keeps tuning factory it's up to temperature. Once up to temperature you always get full performance right away even if restarting car.

Funny enough, as I was typing my message I was thinking it might make adjustments based on oil temp. That's great to hear and I agree that's the best way to proceed.

Seriously, no one is answering this poll. Doesn’t look good for JB4.

Found it, but it would be nice to have the info consolidated in a poll.
