Hi so I currently runing JB4 map 5 Race fuel I happen to do a 40 pull of an on ramp, got up to 7th gear WOT about 90-100 pulling smooth. As soon as I let off the gas pedal jb4 kick me down to gear 4 is that normal. Just throws me off as I have to up shift again to level out RPM.
No I do not have the EWG cables what’s exactly are this for? But then again could that be a safety feature of JB4 kicking me down gears, you haven’t had any similar situation?

EWG connections allow the JB4 to directly add and subtract wastegate duty cycle (WGDC) from the wastegates providing additional tuning flexibility. Most useful for modified vehicles that are having problems targeting boost properly and will also improve boost response, spool up, shifting...
The JB has no control over the transmission. I think you have something else going on. You can floor it and get well over 130 mph in 6th gear before the transmission changes to 7th. 90-100 you would be in 4th gear, not 7th. I attached a screen shot of a log I did this morning. At 131 mph, I was in 6th gear and only 5192 RPM. I'm not sure what's going on but I think you're in a different gear than you are. My 4th gear went from 88mph to 100mph before going to 5th and I paddle shifted early.
