JB4 functions for everything but gauges

Hey guys. I installed my JB4 today and everything works fine except the gauges. I checked the connections and it seems the plug that connects to the jb4 from the OBD2 (not the OBD port) will not function unless i force them together. I can watch the gauges read while im holding them then freeze the moment I stop Has anyone else had this issue? If so how did you get around it? My thought was to try and push the pins forward but I am a little hesitant to do so.
