Hey what’s up guys
Have you guys played around with the DWP numbers at all in the JB4’s User adjustment setting?
I believe out the box the setting is set to zero. But I saw some people setting it to numbers in between 50-100.
Whenever I set it between 50-100, I start getting burbles in my exhaust note (not complaining) and also it pulls way harder and gains much more boost.
Is this a safe setting to mess around with?
(I currently have my DWP set to 50)

Doesn't hurt to play around. Worst case you trigger a false alarm fault code from it.

whenever i fiddle with this setting (set to 60) after a little while i get zero boost but no code and i have to turn off my car, wait and turn it back on for the boost to be back. Without this setting it works fine.

Sounds like an over boost code. Turn down the setting if it triggers issues for your car.

DWP is an experimental anti-lag feature in the JB4 to improve pedal response. 0 disables it. Higher values will trigger fault codes on some cars. Most are fine with a 60 setting.

Thanks Terry!

So if i am understanding this right the higher number on the DWP means less boost lag but potential fault codes and boost cut off?

How you doing with DWP set to 50?
I have mine at the default 0, but thinking of playing with it a little.

I had mine changed back to 0, but I change it from time to time. It’s a cool feature to play around with.

Every car is different from my understanding with mods. I like to play around with it and if it throws a code, lower the number by increments of 5 or 10

Is this something that would be useful in combination with the BMS pedal tuner, or are the two of these in combination overkill?

oh this is interesting,

To answer my own question I think this setting is very fun. The boost comes on much sooner and hits harder as well. I set DWP to 60 to start with no issues so far, I might try turning it down a bit or lower the sensitivity of my pedal tuner as it's almost a little too quick to go full bore into hard acceleration and makes sensible driving a bit difficult.

Anyone still using the DWP setting?

I might start playing with it. Think I finally got the tune dialed in so curious to see how this plays into highway pulls.
