Jalopnik just can’t say no to a good winter driving event, and this time it was my turn.
We’ve previously established that the 356 HP rear-wheel drive 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 Stinger GT is
certifiably a great everyday sports sedan, not just “for a Kia.”

I am pleased to report that the all-wheel drive is not just good—it’s so good that it’s capable of tricking you into feeling like you’re still in a rear-wheel drive car while quietly saving your ass when plowing around a snow course.

As liberating as the track time was, the best of the trip involved the recently announced Kia Stinger GT Atlantica, a “special edition” model that gets a brown interior and a lovely deep blue paint dip. The video team Kia hired wanted to record the new Atlantica running a lap of the complicated and tight autocross course.

Looks like they ran that one off the course and had some work getting it back on.

That looks like a fun event ... drifting around on perfectly even snow is neat :)

aaaahhhhhhh, i do miss winters ever since i moved to florida to be with the mrs. nothing like driving through the snow with the sunroof open. and, that atlantica stuck in the snow, brings back waaaay to many memories. n.y. city in the winter, gotta love that slush. great article from jalopnik

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I noticed in the article KIA said the AWD was selling more than the RWD version, I hope they will rethink their idea of limiting the performance to 130 mph with the 18" setup. They should put some better UHP AS tires on the future models, maybe the Michelin PS AS 3+, as they offer Michelin as a top tier tire on their cars.
