Hello everyone, I'm hoping one or more of you experts will be able to give me some advice (who is not all that car savvy). Two days ago, I had two sets of aftermarket lights "professionally" installed. Those would be the:

1. LED Devils Claw Canards

2. Dual BIG MOUTH Ram Air Intake Snorkels

I apologize that I can't post the links but they are from the K8 Stinger Store.

The issue, it seems lies with the Devil Claws. The Big Mouth lights seem to be working just fine. I took the car back to the shop that installed them but they made it apparent that they have no idea what they are talking about and I'm beginning to regret my decision. There is no way I'm taking it back to them and I've already written it off. I can get into details of the runaround they gave me but I'm figuring it might not be initially necessary.

So here's the issue:

Upon turning the car on, I set the lights to "auto" and only the passenger side Devil Claw is lit. There is no setting whatsoever on the light switch that turns the driver side Devil Claw on.

But the odd part: if I press the start/stop button of the car, the driver side Devil Claw comes on (and the passenger one stays lit) but the headlights are not on and my entire interior display goes completely blank, yet the car is still running. The only thing that shuts the car off is turning the light switch to "DRL off".

I think I might not be dumb enough to know the wiring is all screwed up, I just don't know the best way of going about fixing it.

Should I take it to a Kia dealership? Try for a DIY? Try for a different shop? Try the manufacturer? Maybe there are settings I can work with? Anybody else have this issue? It absolutely sucks driving this awesome car around with it looking totally asymmetrical and like something is wrong with it.

Appreciate all the help.

You are likely correct and it's a wiring issue or more specifically the fuse tapped, I recommend finding a shop that works on aftermarket stereos or lighting in general. It's not rocket science but your likely paying for this work twice, a reputable shop will want to unfuck the previous job and reinstall correctly.

Hello everybody, in case anyone has this problem in the future, I have a resolution that I want to document. The instructions for the Devil Claw Canards instructs to connect the ground black wire to the black wire of the headlight wiring housing unit. This is wrong. It needs to be connected to the black and orange wire instead. Happy to discuss more in case anyone needs help.
