• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Dealer wanting to sell me a December 2018 build Stinger.

Would this be a MY 19 model that has aMichelin tyres, ambient lighting etc etc?

That'll be a '19 stinger

Make sure it's not a MY18.5 which has all the MY19 stuff but has Conti's instead.

It should be. Also look for difference in view screen and stainless scuff guards in boot.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Or just buy one that was built anywhere from January 2019 onwards and that way you’ll know for sure. Yes December 18 build date is MY19 model but the dealer is trying to offload old stock. Insurance/rego etc will consider it an 18 model car regardless because they’re based on build year not model year, and they go off the VIN. If you want a truly 2019 car then it needs to be built within the calendar year. Just to complicate things, if you wait until later in the year and get one built from July 2019 then it’ll be a MY20.

The 10th digit from the left of the VIN is the model year.

K = 2019
J = 2018
