Is there a way to turn on all 4 bulbs in the headlight using only dipped-beam lighting mode?

Hello everyone! I am sorry for my English since I live in Russia and it is definitely not my native language.

I have LED headlights in my car, and those LEDs does not have an "intellectual" lighting function which automatically switches between dipped-beam and high-beam modes (these two definitions are Google-translated, I don't know if it is the correct translation). However, I have found some interesting thing in the owner manual, such is: "The outer bulbs (on the side close to side mirrors) in the headlight are only for dipped-beam light mode, and the inner bulbs are used both for dipped-beam light in auto-mode (which is absent in my car) and for high-beam mode as well. So, when I use the dipped-beam mode, only outer bulbs in the headlights are working, the inner ones remain turned off, they only work when I switch to high-beam mode. Therefore, I presume, there is certainly no way to use all 4 bulbs (both outer and inner ones) on the car without "intellectual" headlights lighting mode, am I right? Just for my confidence. Thanks!

By "intellectual" headlights, I presume this refers to the (over here) GT2's "Dynamic Bending Lights" (DBL) feature, which moves the headlights to track through a turn and light up the latter portion of the turn.

I had no idea that all "lower beam" and "high beam" bulbs could be lit up at the same time on a "low beam" setting. And I seriously doubt this to be the case. But if it is possible, then of course it could only be with DBLs: traditional, fixed lights could not be angled down or away from an approaching car; and on high beam would of course blind the oncoming driver.

Not sure how the light system is setup for your Stinger from the factory, but for the EUDM and USDM version when the high-beam is switched ON all four bulbs are turned on. However the DBL system (which I believe is what you refer to as the "intellectual lighting function") is disabled when using the high beams, this is because the inner bulb housing has a fixed position and does not move.

Hmmm so what is the point of those DBL system then? Here in Russia it is installed only on "top of the top" 3.3T AWD, whilst I have 2.0T AWD without that system. I thought it is supposed to automatically switch between low-beam and high-beam when it "sees" an oncoming driver, but the current mode to make that system work should certainly be "high-beam"... There is no need of that system on "low-beam". Or are we talking about "turning right or left additional lighting bulb" system? It is listed in the options list as "Adaptive Lighting System". No idea what does that mean. The inner bulbs definitely must be "flexible" for both these systems.

The automatic High beam feature is different form the DBL system. The DBL system is the one that turns left or right, depending on the position of the steering wheel.

I am not sure how Kia offers the additional features and packages in your market, but in the USDM market, we have a package called the "Drive wise package" which includes the DBL and Auto-high beam system.

The automatic high beam system requires a sensor that is located near the rear view mirror area, and it is visible from the outside, from the photo you posted earlier, I don't see it there, then again it hard to tell as the photo is from far away.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
You are correct, you can not have all lit for "low" or "dipped" mode.

The ones for "high" are more like flood lights, they have no cut-off to prevent blinding oncoming drivers.

The DBL system is to adjust the low beam (only) as the vehicle follows curves from left to right. Without it, you have simply "traditional" or "normal" fixed headlights, two for low with a fixed cut off, and two for high - which are really the same as the top model has with DBL.

Auto high beam is something completely different. It doesn't move the high beam, it just turns them off if there is oncoming traffic.

Thank you so much for such complete answer. Now I got it. It would have been nice to have all 4 bulbs lit at low mode, but no means no.
