Hey peeps,

I just bought some SS brake lines and I am looking to see if my Motiv power bleeder can attach to the stinger. I used it several times for my 2007 Nissan 350z, and the motiv adapter is the 1107, a 'round 3-tab twist-on'. So today I pop open the Stinger hood and I take off the brake reservoir cap. I see that the lower prong appears to be broken, like some of it is there and some of it isn't. I try to attach the adapter anyways, and while I can push down and turn, the seal doesn't feel that strong. I am not sure if I trust 15 PSI to hold and brake fluid not to go everywhere.

What say you?

From the picture it looks fine, but the focus is on the red insert, not the threads. Pull 1lb on it and see if it holds.

My apologies on the picture, the sun light was getting in the way. I'll take another picture tomorrow in better light

That's just how it's made. The small step is what holds down the cap, the large step is the stop.
I used the Motive stuff for several years. Had trouble getting a good seal on several types of caps so switched to the expensive power probe aluminum caps that use an expanding internal seal.

Just keep a close eye on it. And keep a hose nearby in case it pops loose and sprays fluid everywhere. A quick rinse will neutralize the brake fluid.

^^Just in case, wrap a rag around it before pressurizing.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
