Hello everyone. The question is in the title. It is impossible to fold rear seats without damaging them with those seatbelt locks which no one is ever going to use. I tried to place some clothes over the locks and this is what I got:

And without the covering, the locks damage the seats with its sharp edges directly. It really drives me mad. Please help. Save my seats and yours as well.

Yes you can, you have to tuck them down in the openings usually sideways works.

Ps you speak good English for a Russian.

I would order an outdoor welcome mat designed for front doors, and cut it to fit over the latches. That would distribute the force of the latch evenly. Something like a heavy duty rubber mat would probably do the trick

I tried that a couple of hours ago, and I have found that it is possible to move the locks without the red button (the smaller ones connected by a flexible wire) by any direction. So they can be really hidden at all. But what to do with the ones with red "Press" button? They have a hard connection and could be moved only up and down. And the top bottom position is not enough to avoid the pressure on the folded seats...

How? Please, tell me how exactly you have done that. Maybe you can provide some photos. I can't properly translate the phrase "in the openings usually sideways works" which you used in your previous post in this thread. I don't think the manufacturer would make such common thing as seatbelt locks, especially for the rear seats, different for different markets. I need the seats folding functionality really often, and I just can not use it until the problem with those locks is solved.

They are tucked in. Folding seats down they don’t touch.

OP, I have the same problem. I use a heavy duty moving blanket to spread the pressure. There is some plastic down at the base of the seatbelt, where it attaches to the car, that was not removed by the dealer. Hopefully, someone here has a better solution.

Proper Way to Fold Down Rear Seats?

Cheers

My receivers are tucked so far in it's super annoying to buckle mo kids booster seat. Weird you are having the opposite problem.

But if you truly are never going to use them, just remove them.
