So I was too tired last night to get my thoughts down but I also drove in with the car in Custom mode, basically the system setup for Sport except for the engine which was set to Comfort. On the initial drive home, the suspension felt a bit floaty, not as dialed in as I recall the standard suspension feeling. On that drive I was really impressed with how similar to my old 535 it felt. Truth be told I haven't pushed this car that much as I have been commuting mainly to work and just leave it in comfort. Sport is nice for a quick jaunt but the power gets you up to speed really quickly and in my area driving that way will get you above the limit fast and into trouble. I'm leaving that for when I can do some cruising with corners or for places where the speed is higher and I can have fun with it.
This morning's drive there was a lot less traffic at points so I got a couple of jaunts in Sport mode, it's firmer than comfort on the bumps but not harsh. A couple of places where I got the rear end dance in corners and bumps, the sport mode handles better and makes me wish Sport was a bit firmer but with better dampening. Going hot into the turn, it held and the bump didn't upset the car much. I might just start driving the car in custom setting more as I don't need the full engine response all the time, comfort is plenty quick and when you put your foot in it, it still goes. I would say drive both and see which you prefer. I wish they would do a firmware update to add a sportier setting or someone can come out with a way to tune it differently. Getting springs might sure make it better but the drop that goes along with that is what I'm dreading. Don't like ripping the bumper of or scraping it up drive ways.
