Hi Folks!
Dale from Edmonton here. The stinger is tied for first place on my short list of new vehicle options. Also, I have to say that the "intro email" I received from the site owner, was probably the nicest email I have ever read-so thank you for that. I have been to the dealership, and they had ONE Stinger on its way out the door- I caught it in the detail bay and was able to sit in it, start it, and look at. The vehicle is simply stunning. I want to give it a few months to get some bugs worked out, and then hopefully order one by summer.

Welcome aboard, @Thebiggouda! Thank you for signing up! And thank you for the kind words regarding my email. :) :)

So! The big question on everyone's mind, though everyone seems too afraid to ask :p, is what's the other car tied for first on your short list? :D

Yes, the Stinger is one heck of a car and even people who don't like Kia can't deny it. I think Summer will be a great time to buy a Stinger as the 2019s will be coming out - and since you're in Canada, there's nothing to be desired in the 2018 - they have everything. Here in the U.S., we're missing a few features. AND we pay more.

Ah yes! My Other "Great White Buffalo". The only other real contender i Have is the Land Rover "defender". Unfortunately, it has yet to Be released. Obviously, that presents a number of issues. Mainly, that it could suck, and i wont like it. Or, more likely, that it will be years before it gets to the dealer.

Back to the Stinger, the one i sat in at the dealer (a GT Limited) was grey, with the red interior, and it was spectacular. But i would like to see a black one before i make my decision (also with the red interior, of course). Right now in Edmonton we dont even have one to go look at :(

Yes, a very nice future vehicle. I have no problem understanding what it's so high on your list. But I have a feeling when you see that black Stinger - you're going to drive home with it. :D

Welcome!

Yeah the owner of the forums is a really nice and friendly guy for sure! We love him :D

I think there are a few others in the same boat as you just waiting a few months to let KIA work out any glitches (if any) in the new platform!

Welcome! glad you joined us.

I sure didn't expect the Land Rover to be the other one on your list. lol. Quite different cars you have on your mind there.

While I think the Stinger is such a great car and confident you will eventually buy the Stinger once you see one in a color you like and go for a test drive, I think it's better to get the car in the summer (providing you can wait). Getting a car in winter can be annoying, can't drive it properly, can't wash it, it gets dirty easily both on the exterior and interior, and I just want to stay home most of the time.

Wise advice, that i do believe i will take!
My wife drives a Land Rover, and it is a wonderfull machine-and on days like today with over a foot of fresh snow, you need a pretty serious vehicle to even get out to the street.

The only"issues" i am hearing is a rattle in the trunk, and that the sub woofers may not actually work. Beyond that, darn near every reviewer in the world agrees, this is an amazing vehicle.
