Hi all,

We have been getting this warning light on the dash intermittently the past couple of days and all my searching concludes that it's a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) indicator but seeing as I have a Petrol 3.3T I can't understand why this light even exists on this model. There is no information whatsoever about this warning light in the user manual which is a bit worrying as the manual should at least contain all the warning lights on the dash.

It tends to disappear when I switch the car off and then on again, I was in a good hour or so of slow-moving traffic yesterday and then once on the motorway doing 70mph it popped up again and the car felt a little sluggish/very slightly jerky.

I may have just been overly sensitive to the power delivery not seeming as smooth as normal because of the warning light but to me it definitely felt a bit off.

I am going to be calling Kia today to get some information but wanted to know if you guys have any thoughts on this.

It shows up as below on the left (RPM) side of the dash right at the bottom. In the image on the quick start guide it's located just under the 8 on the tachometer.

Had to upload to imgur as the forum won't let me post images. imgur.com/a/VclyJMQ

Your link doesn't seem to work for me.

Just found out the Hyundai/Kia are fitting Gasoline Particulate Filters to their 2019 model year cars including the Stinger (I presume) in the EU to meet EU6 regs.

I guess there's just something wrong with the filter in my car, Kia dealer found references to it in the manual but it appears to state (diesel only).

I wonder if I just got some dodgy fuel when I last filled it up.
