I have had a lot of German cars, but after reading reviews and upcoming releases I would like to try a stinger. I have read online that the 2021 gtline will have a 2.5 liter, if that is true I am debating between the gtline and the lowest end awd gt.

I have tried searching every dealer within a 2 hour drive and I can't find any AWD gt's (besides the indigo blue). I assume this is because the 21s will come soon, does anyone know when they normally start showing up on lots? I called a dealer but they said it was unknown.

Welcome to the hive... inventory seems to be low so you will probably have to hunt further out, or get a broker, I don't think a 2.5L is in the cards for 2021, if you can swing the 3.3L go for it

Thanks for the response, ill hunt 3 hours away and see what I find.

Good to know it sounds like the 2021s are not getting the 2.5t, does that also mean they won't get the exterior changes?

It wouldn't make sense to not follow many or all the changes... the 2L has become closer in looks to the 3.3L over the years already I would expect it to continue

Thanks, I meant are the exterior changes not coming for any trim in 2021, possibly delayed until 2022?

In my head I figured they would need the 2.5t out to compete with the k5 gt. Its weird the k5 gt could outpower then stinger gtline for less money. I guess I keep searching for a gt and see if any 2021 news drops while I search.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Howdy, and welcome. The linked articles a couple weeks ago said that the "face lift" would reach the US early in 2022. But, what do any of us know? Included in that is supposedly BOTH engines for the four cylinder.

Thanks for the information, you are right it is all speculation. I'll keep on the hunt for a 3.3 in my price range and if offical news comes from Kia maybe I'll change my mind.

The FL Stinger will be launching in Korea later this year.

So, as per usual, the NA launch will be 4-6 months later, so some time in 2021 as a 2022MY.

The 2021MY will be a carry-over and have a short cycle.

So, depending on your time frame (if not in desperate need to get a vehicle now), then would wait until the 2022s come out.

Then you can decide if the 2.5T (and the other changes) suits your needs better than and pre-FL 2021MY.

With the greater discounts, likely can get a 2021 GT or maybe a GT1 for the same price of the 2022 GT-Line.

While the 2.5T won't have the power of the 3.3TT, it'll be more fuel efficient, along with having the benefit of having both port and direct injection.
