Instrument Cluster Lighting - Brightness?

A new weird issue has started on my '18 GT1 in the past couple months. Randomly (maybe 1 out of every 5 times) when I start the vehicle, the instrument cluster illumination comes on at the maximum level. I set it at 8 and leave it there. Most of the time it stays at 8, but then there's that 1 random time when I start the engine and I'm blinded by the lights.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I had this "feature" also
When i get in (or out) the car i push the button for the instrumentlights with my knee (i dont noticed that!)
Maybe that´s an explanation for your issue?

I haven't noticed a change to my cluster lighting (I probably don't drive enough after dark recently to notice now) but I have random HUD setting resets, I haven't found a pattern. I've given up and attributed to some random electrical gremlin.

I don't know what it is, but my wife does this too. Drives me crazy. At night, I want to focus on the road, I can't stand the dash blinding me when driving on a dark road.

The Brightness is tied to the seat memory buttons. If it wasn't set when you saved your seat setting it defaults bright . I just tested it out. I had the same issues.

I'll try saving the memory seat again tonight and see if that stops the random brightness.

Tried the memory setting and it still needed to be adjusted manually after she drove it. Since she doesn't drive at night, I'll set hers to my preferred and see if that solves it. Now to remember to do that...
