Installed Rotors, Pads, Lines and Brake fluid

How does it feel??

It’s still on the jackstands as I am letting it sit and see if I have any leaks..

And depending on what price Nick gives me on swaybars, endlinks, subframe collars and BMS upper bracing, it may not come off them for a few days...

How does it feel??

Are the front pads the same as the rear? I've yet to see aftermarket rear pads lol...

Nope.. the only aftermarket option so far is the front pads which is the culprit on the shaky braking..

The Stinger is considerably front brake biased, so I will replace the rear pads when there is an offering.. but I am not concerned

Damn, your brake calipers look mint. Mine is covered with paint chips.
20K miles and there isn't a mark on my Brembo calipers either. What are you driving your car THROUGH!?

I wiped them down when installing the rotors and pads and they turned out great..

So the always amazing Nick gave me an offer I couldn’t refuse and so it will be on jackstands for a week or so..

Sit in the car and mash the brake pedal hard - you'll know pretty quick if you have any leaks. :)

As weight is always travelling forward when you're braking from any sort of speed (unless you're nuts and going in reverse at stupid speeds!), the front brakes do the vast majority of the work in most cars.

The Kia is very balanced front to rear (RWDs are 52:48 if memory serves, AWDs are probably a bit heavier at the front), so weight distribution isn't a big concern for braking balance.

I've seen stories though of the rear pads causing rotor deposits now as well - apparently you feel it more through the seat than through the steering wheel. It will be good to see aftermarket pads appearing (and becoming more common).

I've just engaged with my local brakes expert (they supply brake components to rally teams, and they've never led me astray in ~20 years). Here's an couple of comments...

They are a common pad shape but run unique weights for noise suppression

That matches with what we knew about the front pad shape being common with some other Brembo-fitted cars. Interesting on the weights...

We're still working on the rear and believe we know another model Korean vehicle with a similar setup but they are still a work in progress

I asked if this was the Genesis G70, and was told no, something less common.

does this mean someone is coming out with pads for the rear?
