Australian (2020/MY20) GT model of course. Deep chroma blue exterior, red leather interior. Didn't want the two higher trims (Night Sky and Carbon Fibre, Australia doesn't get GT1/GT2 but my GT seems to have a lot of "GT2" features) as they offer nothing but external colours I don't like as much and leather colours I like but less so than red leather, and have the same performance as my GT trim. I love my almost multi coloured blue (I swear from certain angles she seems an indigo colour when not a deep navy blue, and showing off an iridescent deep but also bright blue in the highlights. Hell even under heavy shade she seems a nicer black than the black paint!
My only problem is adjusting to the throttle, I'm gonna rack up a lot of speeding fines if my legs muscle memory keeps pressing down on the accelerator like I did with the Mazda6. Went to overtake someone on the motorway on the way home from the dealership; in my Six with the same push down I'd get from 100km to a decent 115km to overtake safely. Same amount of throttle use and within less than a second I'm nearing 150km. A "Fark yea!" moment but also a bit of terror... wasn't expecting that. So glad a cop wasn't near or I'd have a suspended licence! Had to get myself from out of the seat that I was now quite pressed into and slow right down. I went cruise control for the remainder of the motorway until I had time to learn the Stingers 'feel'. Now my main issue is being able to maintain speed limits while touching the throttle. This baby wants to go fast that's for sure. No wonder cops in my state (Qld, Australia) are adopting Stingers for some of their fleet.
This is getting ranty so I'll shush. So yea. New to the Stinger ownership circle. Excited beyond what I'd think I'd be, way more than went I upgraded my 2004 Holden Vectra for a 2013 Mazda6. Wasn't really a car guy. Quickly becoming one!
ps: Please note I've no intention of doing stupid shit on the road like racing people. That 150km was unexpected, and it happened so quick it got to 150km before I could react. Made sure to be a super light touch since then! (And avoid sport mode until I can keep Eco/Comfort speed-controlled!)
