Ok people, i don’t want opinions from people who hates one of these chip.
i want the truth. I will stay stock with my stinger. I will put upgraded spark plugs and it’s all.
i just want more hp and no problem with my car (i am not a mecano).
Racechip cost me 400$ us deliver to my home and jb4 cost me 700$ us deliver to my home.
so what do you think in regards of the price. Is there a big difference in hp between the two or is is the same when you stay stock?
Will i have issues or problems with racechip?
i will buy one of the two today, so i want your opinion.
Thank you all !!!!

JB4. Simple pnp install. Ability to log. After purchase support second to none. You get what you pay for.

By definition, putting a tune on it makes it not stock.

With that said, JB4 gets my vote. People will argue HP gains both ways, but JB4 wins the support & community contest hands-down.

If you are going to stay stock then may I suggest there is a 4th option? Just install snorkels and drop in AEM panel filters. That is a couple hundred dollars, barely visible from the exterior if you get black snorkels, doesn’t change the sound, and gained me almost .4 seconds for the 1/4 of mile(12.96 to 12.62) and .2 seconds 0-60 mph(4.59 to 4.37).

It doesn’t even require changing the spark plugs. That isn’t difficult but it isn’t as easy as some people make it sound.

Hi !! This is the first time i see those snorkels :)
Is is difficult to install? (because i am bad in installation)

JB4 costs almost the same and offers a ton more performance and tuning potential. If you consider resale value JB4 is much cheaper as RC is worthless once purchased. Everyone who gets one sells it eventually to get a JB4 or something better. :)

If you're looking for an intake checkout the BMS intake also. Very quick to install/remove, retains factory airbox bottom and vents for cold air ducting, and priced nicely at $329.

Hey!!! It’s terry from BMS ?? :)
Hi Terry
the only doubt that i have is the hp gains when you are stock... RC claims +58 and 118 TQ
I do ´t know for the jb4 but people tell that it’s approximately the same...from canada where i am, it cost me 500$ shipped to my house a RC, and it cost me 689$ for the jb4, and i habe to buy the app 50$ on apple to connect with the jb4, so it cost 739$ at the end.... in us there is no big difference, but in canadian hahahah (it means 400$ difference).
i am really impressed that you take your time to answer me ... thank you and i think i will go withs jb4 :)

JB4 is great. Get the fuel wire extensions and you won’t even have to tap into the factory wiring harness.

I will say one thing about RaceChip. Their advertising is what made me go test drive the Stinger. After buying a Stinger I read a lot about the best buggy back tuning systems and got the JB4. It has been great.

Can someone tell me what means « fuel control » on map 1,2 or 5? Is it the fuel adapter for PNP when you install the jb4?

Fuel adapter is PNP but have to tap on the wires on the adapter. It’s better than piercing your stock wires.

The install for the snorkels is easy. It is a little intimidating because you are taking the entire nose off the car. However, once you do it you will realize how simple it really is.

Changing the spark plugs is a much more daunting task than changing the snorkels. Neither of them is complicated but I would much rather change the snorkels than change the spark plugs on this particular car.

Haha totally reading this while I'm running bolt ons, but am actually running race chip runner and feel like I need to make the switch to JB4

This seems to be the usual path RaceChippers take to JB4. You may have just saved someone from that ill fated path of disappointment. Good on you
