I'm trying to find a good set of performance winter tires for my 22 GT1 AWD. Weather isn't so bad where I'll need studs but I want something to ensure that when I get caught in the snow (which my job requires me to drive around a lot) I'll be able to safely get from place to place. Also I do want to have some fun in the snow as well. I tried finding Michelin Pilot Apline PA4s but those apparently don't exist in stock size. I'd like to not get new rims just for my snow tires, especially since I plan on getting the Scorpion's rims to put my Pilot Sports on and leave the winter tires on my stock rims. Any good recommendations? I'd also like to try getting a tire with a speed rating of W or Y if possible.

Is there a Winter/Snow tire that is "W" or "Y" rated? I haven't heard. My Nitto Motivo UHP A/S are "Y" rated. They are good in the snow with AWD. Since around here snow is cleared off and the roads 90% plus dry by the following afternoon: and since most days during the winter the temps rise above freezing, I see little use for dedicated snow tires: A/S UHP give me the pleasure of decent spirited driving all the other times that the roads are not junked or frozen.

ik there are W speed rated snow tires. Y ones I have yet to find. Where I live roads being cleared is a coin flip. When I had my Base, my dead end street was plowed and it hadn't been snowing for almost an hour. Meanwhile a well trafficed road a couple blocks away still had a couple inches on it. Wound up in a ditch because of that.

When I had a 2005 C6 Corvette that I drove year round in Ontario, Canada I used Pirelli Sottozero 240s (240 is the speed rating in kph) in the stock tire sizes (18 inch front and 19 inch rear). They worked reasonably well. I drove the car in snow storms and on snow covered roads/highways. Only issue I had is they got a little slippery in under -27 deg C.

Not available in OE size... Just like the Alpines...

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Yes, but IME it’s a crappy winter tire. If you are going to be going those speeds, you don’t need a winter tire IME.
