So the last few days i have noticed none of my parking assist warning sensors are working. Not pulling into a spot forward or reverse. I have not changed a single setting. They just stopped working. Well to add to that....on Thursday traffic in front of me came to a dead stop. Faster than i could stop. There was no warning sounds, the front end collision didnt activate at all nothing. So i now have a trailer hitch sized hole through my front bumper. I want to cry. Wtf?!! What do i do?? Why are none of the safety features working?? Yes i understand its still my fault but i thought some of these technologies are supposed to help in these situations. Not sure what my next step should be.....

Which model is your GT? What was your MSRP?

I see you have the GT2. Next step, head to the dealer's service and body shop. That's what I would do.

Sure they aren't turned off. Once turned off, the will stayy turned off until you turn them back on.

Next step is to call your insurance company. After that just go outside and turn the features that you mistakenly disabled back on.

I didnt post on here to receive condescending responses. I was wondering if anyone else was having issues with the warning systems and etc.

Check your user manual, page 5/64. Check to see if it was canceled or not turned on at delivery. It's the user settings on the computer between the speed odometer and tack. Go to User Settings, Driver Assist and Collision-avoidance assist. Hope this helps, I would check on cost to repair before going to your insurance company. Depending on your deductible you may want to pay out of pocket.

There are buttons on the left of the steering wheel. Any of those turned off? Also the lane keep is in the menu in between the Speedo and tach

When you are calm and collected, sorry for all this happening to you, you really should go through every menu setting. I sat in my car outside of my garage and perused all the menus. There’s so much. There’s the one in front of you and the one in the main infotainment display. You’re looking at about an hour of menus and sub choices. Most are cosmetic but many are safety related and obviously the most important. I turned all the nannies and warnings on to get a handle on what they do. Far more advanced than my Honda so I wanted to learn everything.

Then I tackled the manuals. As you will now have some familiarity with the menus it will make going through that beast easier. I bookmarked and it took me three tomfor days to conquer it. I still don’t know stuff and need to refresh some stuff. Monday is a month.

I hope the dealer didn’t disable anything on delivery that would suck big time and I doubt they would ever do that.

Were the beeps happening then they all stopped. That could be a catastrophic failure of the safety system? Was anything done that would cover it, obstruct the sensors on the bumper or windshield? Wrap, tint, any covering?

Good luck.

See thats the kicker....i have had this car 3 months now. When i first got it i read the manual cover to cover and checked out every setting imaginable. I spent days learning everything about the car and setting it all up the way i want. I know every menu, setting, everything forwards and backwards. So the thing is....all those warning sounds and etc were working perfectly fine. When i pull into my spot at work i have to use them as parking is tight at the hospital. And ive already been driving on the freeway bobbing and weaving and have had the front end collision warning go off and brake me. So it was all on and working just fine. Then all of a sudden on Thursday...none of it is working. I didnt change a single thing. I promise i didnt turn anything off or adjust anything myself. It was all functioning and then just stopped working. Im not going through ins and am going to pay for the repairs myself. But like you said what worries me is why did it all suddenly fail?? If mine can fail and suddenly reset itself or something then so can everyones.

My GT has no issues. Despite if it works or not, we can't be lul to sleep under the protection of all these safety features. My wife car does not have a back up camera and I have to retrain myself on how to reverse every time I drive her car. Stay sharp and do not let down your guard.

Something just jumped out at me. I have had two cars with emergency braking and have never experienced the braking function. The manual warns, it is not meant to be the primary preventative to avoid accidents. "And ive already been driving on the freeway bobbing and weaving and have had the front end collision warning go off and brake me."

Who boy. You may have a failure. You did what I did. Then this has to be tested and serviced. Have any of the warning sounds come back? I get them all the time parking so easy test. I’ve not been brave enough to test the AEB but a low speed crawl towards a wall should be doable and brake if nothing seems right. If it’s still not working and you can take it to the dealer first thing tomorrow, I’d do it. I fear bringing it to the doctor always fixes everything that’s wrong. I felt my car pulling to the right on different freeways at different speeds. Service tech drove the car with me riding shotgun, worked perfectly. Hasn’t occurred to me either. He just had to touch it.

Good luck and be careful!

I didn’t type the definition of a e b. The forum software inserted the definition. Cool.

Setting up a cardboard box in front of the car is a good way to test it. Just need enough room to get the car's speed up (probably has to be over 10 mph) and still have enough room to brake safely.

But judging by what in reading here I think a little bit of driver's education may go a long way in preventing future mishaps.

You should change your screen name to ‘crashingaddict’ as a joke!!

I’m going to try that but need to find a box big enough to force it to stop.
