Greetings to the owner, members and enthusiasts!
I’m a new member, obviously and posting for the first time. As my title states, I’m in my researching stages. I want to get a luxury/speedy/I just turned 45 car!
My only issues are these:
1-2.0 Premy with drive wise pckg (maxed out options as possible) and RWD???....would I be settling
2-3.3 V6 GT1 with same options above....we want the Stinger for the “fun of driving/power right?”
3-3.3 V6 GT2 with same above....too much money!!!

I’ve been taking into account wheel sizes, AWD or RWD. Considering I reside in North FL, AWD makes more since with the rain. Drive Wise pckg is additional $2000-but if I’m getting this type of car and paying this price-why settle, get what you want. I also like the “smart trunk,” not having a motorized trunk(hatch) in this day in age-really? And they only have it on the GT2-correct me if I’m wrong!
There’s more I’m considering but lastly, I would be leasing for the first time-I’ve always purchased!!!

I have a base GT but I think you would enjoy a gt1 ... if you need all that extra stuff then get gt2 but I don’t think it’s worth it. I would def go with the 3.3 over 2.0. .... gotta have fun with it man , if your leasing then you can drive it like you stole it :)

There are still 2018 GT2s about that you can get a smoking deal on and be around $40K, that’s going to be tougher to do on a 2019 version. Sadly, the power trunk is GT2 only on both years. If you wait until summer next year when the 2019s are approaching their end of cycle, you could also score a good deal on a GT2 version.

If you have a change of heart regarding lease vs buying you'll see a lot of cheap GT1s and GT2s with low miles (under 10k). You should be able to find a 5k mile GT2 for 38kish. Another area Stingers are on par with their German rivals is re-sale value. It's horrible.

Wheel sizes as OEM will directly limit your top end. If you get a GT with 18s you'll have a limited top end of 140 MPH. If you start with 19s (staggered) you'll have the vaunted 167 MPH top end. You want fun, so get as much as you can.

Avoid all the nannies ($2K worth of annoyance) and lift your hatch lid yourself. It's good exercise. :P

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

This right here. If you are going to be happy with a 2018 GT2 you can pick one up for less than a 2019 GT1. Options are currently limited since dealerships are trying to get rid of their 2018s, but they are definitely still out there.

The 2019s do come standard with some extra odds and ends that the 2018s don’t have. Just something to keep in mind.

I was in the same place as you last May when I leased my GT1. If I would have gone for the 2.0T, I would still be wishing I had the 3.3TT. GT1 over GT2, no regrets, the GT1 has everything I wanted. I'm a little south of you in Flagler Beach, went to Ocala to lease an instock stinger. Great choice.

If you're in north FL, whatever trim level you get, be sure it has the ventilated seats. They're a life changer. ;)

Thanks all for their inputs! I’ll have to look around the forums and see what the 2019 will have-are the 360 cameras only on the Canadian car? They have the GT Limited, same as our GT2 but with the 360 camera, wireless charging and ventilated seats!

All three are on the MY19 GT2; I don't know about lower trims. The surround camera is only GT2, iirc; but I thought ventilated seats and remote start were options on the lower trims for MY19.

Remote start is an option across all trim levels. The GT1 and GT2 have cooled seats, as well as the 2.0 Premium.

The other seat option you get with GT2 is the heated rear seats. Maybe not the most important thing, but my friends enjoy it

I am not sure what is "Too much Money" but if you work the right deal, you can get a GT2 for around $46k which is almost dealer cost. Too me that's a great deal considering what you are getting. But if that's too much money, I would say Any V6 option over the 4cyl. I have a comparison video on my channel:(Several other videos on my Stinger as well on my channel)

In the United States, that's only on the 2019 model. 2018 model in the US does NOT have rear heated seats. I hate that. Annoying lol I even point it out in one of my videos:

The GT1 does not offer cooled seats. Here is a little General Guidline: GT has heated leather seats. GT1 has Sunroof, heated seats, Optional heated steering wheel. GT2 has sunroof, HUD, Cooled Seats, Big LED Screen between Tac and Speedometer, and heated steering wheel 2019 has rear heated seats. Remote start is optional across all models. Hope this helps

I will say that the HUD is now a requirement for any future vehicles I might purchase .

I am a sucker for HUD. I hope the 2020 Dodge Ram has it. If so then I may buy it and then every vehicle I have will have HUD. It's so convenient when doing speeds above 55 mph lol aka when speeding. Which I never do...... hahah

The 2.0 Stinger is a nice car but the power, performance, and fun of the 3.3TT brings this car to a level on par with world-class luxury sports sedans, including anything the Germans make in this segment. Personally, I was all set to buy a GT1 - mostly because I didn't want to pay extra for all the nannies. But I wanted buy-in from The Wife and she LOVED the 16-way seats in the GT2 - especially power thigh support. She was right (smart gal, great taste ;)). As much as I drive, I've come to love the great Napa Leather seat with virtually limitless adjustment. And the ventilated seats in summer have me spoiled for life. I've also come to appreciate the driver assist stuff. Especially the blind-spot warning (given the car's rear-visibility), and the rear cross-traffic alert is almost a requirement now when backing out a low-slung sedan from between all those long, tall SUV's parked next to you. HUD is very cool - especially the displayed turn-by-turn when using the Kia Nav. Plus, it's just kinda' nice to know you "have it all". The GT1 is a good choice between the 2 price-points, but for me, it was worth it to buy the GT2.

yeah, I agree with all of this. that thigh extension is just awesome. really makes the difference on long drives.

The heated steering wheel is standard on AWD models of GT through GT2..so a GT2 RWD will not have the heated steering wheel.
