Hyundai reportedly eyeing a takeover of F.C.A.

In addition to record Ram and Jeeps sales Dodge Challenger has surpassed Camaro in sales and is now number two mid size two door sports sedan in US. Sales only slightly below Iconic Mustang. Again with some cash infusion and new platform I could see Dodge pass Ford Mustang sales eventually. I suspect Hyundai sees this too.

Just what to do with all Chrysler debt and sagging product line.

Ram and Jeep are the jewels they want - the car business (especially Fiat) they'll try and unload.

Probably want to steal the paint technology.

I just bought a Chrysler Pacifica and have to say I find it far and away the best minivan on the market. Sales are excellent and increasing as folks realize it is the best choice - style, best practicality (stow and go for 2nd and 3rd rows) and lots of features (similar to the Kias) - plus I get well over 30mpg on the highway for a 4500lb vehicle with about 290hp. I do find the sedona the second best in appearance, but just no comparison in vehicles IMO. I'm sure Kia would love to get their hands on the Pacifica in addition to the other vehicles folks mentioned already (jeep, etc.).

Would be amazing for one brand to have both a stinger and guilia (two excellent cars)...take the italian 280hp 4cyl turbo and use that as the base, the 3.3L turbo as the middle engine and the baby ferrari 6cyl turbo w/500hp for the top end. Maybe use fiat's paint and carbon fiber driveshaft too...
