I got a set of wheel locks, but can't figure out how remove the hub caps that cover the wheel lugs.

I just use a skinny flathead screwdriver with some electrical tape around the head so I don’t scratch my painted/powder-coated center caps/wheels.E1ABEF8F-A937-440F-A722-51BF444541E1.webp

Yikes, all these metal tools being used lol. I'm more weary of the scratching because my wheels are powder coated. I have a set of plastic trim removal tools and I have designated one of them as getting off the lug cover. There is one spoke with an opening to get into to pry open. It just pops off.

The screwdriver with tape doesn’t scratch anything, I’ve used it many times on my powdercoated wheels.

Found that plastic tent stakes work well and won't mark up the rims. Be sure to only use it on the arm with the slot, which is the one directly at the top of the logo.

I use a plastic trim removal.

Whichever tool you like, keep one with your spare tire *just in case*.

Thanks, that worked really well. I'm surprised that KIA didn't include such a tool in the tire change kit.

same.. when i had a nail in a tire (when i had less than 1000 miles!) i pulled off the cover without any tools as i didn't want the tire place to scratch anything.. lol
