Hi my Stinger family!!

I have the mbrp cat back with mbrp resonators installed last year and just recently I installed the ultimate performance HFC midpipe and downpipe combo. I love that it’s louder and I especially love the burbles I hear when it’s downshifting or reducing speed but the rasp is a bit too much.

Is there a way to reduce the rasp?

Since you're not gonna like the solution, no, there's no way to fix it. Try to install exhaust tips that connect to the actual pipes. Should reduce some.

Appreciate the response nonetheless thank you

Oh I definitely know those HFC primary and secondary produce pretty crazy rasp. I've heard it and it was crazy bad. You definitely need to get exhaust tips that extend beyond the bumper. That will for sure help. I bet it wasn't that raspy with the stock primary and secondary. Generally most just replace the secondary midpipe and leave the primary as they are an absolute pain to work on and high chance of snapping the studs. You could put the stock secondaries back on and that might help though I can understand I am not a huge fan of reverting things I paid money for either.

You know what’s awesome? I found the solution :) I originally had the tips even before I installed the UP combo kit.

Swapping out the X pipe for an H pipe helped tremendously. And added a deeper note.

Warm start with revs

Semi - cold start

I ended up getting the mbrp pro active to give it a shot with my ark dp. I've had borla for so long, been wanting to go for that deeper refined tone that pretty much mainly mbrp pro gives. Just waiting on the bigger 2.5" inlet tips to arrive. Same tips as what I use now with 4.5" outlet. I'll keep the borla still and see what I'll end up keeping long term. I never heard mbrp pro active with ark dp in person. Online videos just don't do any exhaust justice. Pretty excited honestly. Should have it installed by end of the month. Going to give it a review and compare it to the borla active that I have now.
