I know Kia say remove battery for charging but that's bollocks. Simply use the terminal provided for jump charging on the right hand side up by the firewall as so -

Use a high quality charger - mine is a CTEK Start Stop - and if the terminal takes a jump start surge it sure will handle a trickle. You may extend your battery life considerably this way despite assuming your battery is always charged up. You would be surprised how much charge it will take even after driving and especially after just shopping or whatever and using the power tailgate with several engine starts. Be kind to your battery and charge regularly as we all drive with undercharged battery at times.

Love the CTEK chargers - I have two of the 2.2 models, which I leave on my convertible and my motorcycle all winter long. Both have hard wired connectors so hookup is a simple plug in process. Keeps the batteries tip-top over some pretty extreme temperature changes, ready for Spring emergence ... :)

Does anyone know how to put a battery tender on a Stinger with the smaller engine? Thanks!

Find the battery, clip the tender leads to it.

Thanks! I know where the battery is, It's under the spare tire. Thought I could hook it up in the front fuse box, but not sure of what is the positive post. I saw a picture of the big engine, but my smaller engine seem different. Have an appointment next week, if I don't get the info. I'll ask a Tech. Thanks!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Ah - didn't realize the 2.0 had the battery in the back.

In that case, the +ve post is under a plastic cover. Look in the manual, under jump start - it will show you exactly where they should be hooked up. If you plan to connect it regularly (not really needed unless left undriven for several days), you could put a harness on permanently, just make sure the wires are secured out of the way (zip ties.)
