I know Kia say remove battery for charging but that's bollocks. Simply use the terminal provided for jump charging on the right hand side up by the firewall as so -
Use a high quality charger - mine is a CTEK Start Stop - and if the terminal takes a jump start surge it sure will handle a trickle. You may extend your battery life considerably this way despite assuming your battery is always charged up. You would be surprised how much charge it will take even after driving and especially after just shopping or whatever and using the power tailgate with several engine starts. Be kind to your battery and charge regularly as we all drive with undercharged battery at times.
