Kia Stinger

I'll probably buy the new badge but I agree it's nice to just have it right out there that it's a Kia. I'm sure people will be asking me what the car is and when I say "Kia" they'll be like, "Oh" and that's it.It actually looks good. But I will say (again) it's not for me. Just don't need to be in the conversation "...what is that? Is that a new Lexus?". But rather "Wow, that's a KIA!" statement, no conversation. I'd be proud to own this KIA, badge and all.
YES! I like the newer badge! That's cool! Now if it were three dimensional it would probably be very expensive. But that would certainly be something! Maybe somebody can make it if there's enough demand. I do actually have a connection in China if anyone is interested.
EmbossedThere's got to be a word for it, but not being a designer, I don't know what it is.
I wonder how many times Kia has heard this about their badge. And I wonder why they don't change it. It's not like it would be all that difficult. Their autos are looking really good nowadays so they need to make some sort of improvement on that badge.I like the alternative badge but would take the old design in a much smaller form on the lower part of the trunk under the Stinger name - otherwise nobody will know it is a KIA.
One of the best reviews of the Stinger was the R&T interview with Bob Lutz - Here's What Bob Lutz Thinks About the KIA Stinger (find it on Road and Track's website). That review was one of the best as Lutz went into great detail on the Stinger (particularly the interior) and KIA in general. It was this interview that really impressed me about the Stinger. Lutz however did criticize the KIA badge, the lettering and the oval in particular, and I would agree that a new logo design (badge) is needed.
