How do I turn off ISG?

What to do to turn off the stingers ability to shut off the engine when stopped at a light?
Just push the button that looks like an “@ off” in between the seat temperature controls. If the light goes on then that feature is disabled.

It took me a while to get used to that feature and kept thinking the car stalled. Lol, but it does save gas especially in the city.

I think you can also reduce brake pedal pressure which will keep the engine running, and if you let the car creep a little bit (again, light brake pedal pressure) it won't shut off. The manual does say not to let the vehicle creep, but I can't see any harm in doing that as long as it isn't for long distances, just at traffic lights.

I wish Kia had the same sport mode as the bimmers.. my old Bimmer would drop the auto stop once you put it in sport mode.. since I rarely drive my stinger In a mode other than sport, this would have been nice fix. I guess bmw thinks if your in Sport you can’t wait for the car to start up again..lol

I was also able to reprogram some Functions in my x5 using a obd2 scanner and an app called Carista. Maybe they will add the stinger to there list of comparable cars..

There's a certain point along the brake pedal depression line that actually activates the stop/start function (if the conditions are right). Holding the brake before this point will actually hold the car in place even on a downslope, but not activate the stop/start function. Useful for stop signs or short red lights.

I agree, I have the same experience for my previous BMW, would be nice to have had this here as well.
