How do I remove this rear hatch panel without breaking it?

SSIA - see the attached photo with the part I'm referring to. I've only seen one video explaining the removal of that panel and in the video the author broke the part...

I want to get at the dead bug inside my hatch brake light housing: looked into this very thing years ago: bug still there.

I literally just replaced mine this week. I was trying (and failing) to swap in the 2022 light bar and I pulled down on the black interior trim piece to be able to get more access to the screws/holes. Pulled too hard and the top trim piece busted. Luckily it was only 25 bucks for a new one. Snapped on nice and easy. Unlike the light bar, which I still can't seem to get to fit, ugh.......

Sounds like I'll just have to buy a part and take the hit on it.. I read the above-mentioned thread and I have the pry tools for internal trim, but I'm pretty sure this will bust anyway... :-/
