Some good things came up and I'm possibly looking to let go of my Stinger. It's a 2018 gt2 AWD, interior is great, exterior has a few blemishes, I did buy it used at 7000 miles. It currently has 44000 miles on it. My car is modified with lowering springs(PITA to install), Borla catback exhaust and intakes. The rest can easily be swapped back to oem. I would let the car go if I got a good price for it but to get a good offer I would have to return it to stock. I have all the parts so that's not the issue. The thing in worried about is getting a crummy offer after I put the oem parts back on and deciding to keep the car.

Could I take my car to carmax, get an offer while it's modified, then if I like the offer, return it to stock? Or do the people that do the appraisals actually know what they are doing? Should I just return it stock and go from there.

My car was well taken care of, it wasn't driven super hard. I've never had any issues with it ever. I've never seen its check engine light on.

you can get an offer from carmax and carvana online. They are offering 24,500 for my 2019 GT AWD with 33,500 miles. I got an offer with and without modified suspension to see what difference would be and they were both the same. Since its online, you can get an offer without having to change any parts out. If you decide to go through with it, you can then return it as close to stock as you want.

I got offered 35000 for mine. That's bone stock. I however didn't put in a small paint chip, 1/4 inch on passenger side and slight scuff rear bumper, very small dent on passenger rear fender. What are the chances they would either reject or adjust amount on pickup?

I think the chances of rejection are pretty much zero. Chances of adjustment, also pretty low. I forgot to mention, I also got a quote with and without exterior scratches/dings, and the amount was also the same.

Thank you for your input. I think I got an appraisal from carvana when I put in suspension mod, they rejected it completely.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
hmm. that may be because the GT2 has the active dampers and the GT does not.

Your average buyer doesn't want to pay for someone else's mods.

I sold a BMW to Carvana last year. When they picked it up he didn't even check the vehicle to make sure the condition matched what I said when I filled everything out. He came, checked the mileage, gave me a form to sign, handed me a check, I gave him the keys, and I was on my way. It took about 3 minutes. No inspection.

Thanks for the input. I don't want to get rid of my car but I'll be leaving the country for at least a year and won't have a need for it.

Try carmax, they gave a much better offer than carvana. Vroom also

carmax 35200
Vroom 34200 (they upped it to 34600 a few days after getting the offer)
Carvana 31600
