How big a difference between 18 and 22, GT2 in looks, price?

Someone on the forum had their sunglasses melt or deform in the compartment during the summer heat
Not sure about "melt or deform". What I found is that the anti-reflective coating on the lenses would craze over when left in the overhead bin day after day. The fine cracks make the lenses hazy to see thru and practically unusable. This happened with two different pairs of sunglasses, so I no longer keep my sunglasses in there.

As for PO's question of 2018 vs. 2022... bear in mind that a 2018 is a 6-year old car by now. Even when well-taken care of, cars do age. Not just the engine or transmissions, but the leather on the seat, the plastics in the interior, the rubber bushings in the suspension, the paint on the body panels etc. Not saying they are ready to fall apart. We have a '19 that is still in tip-top shape, and we love it. But, it is still 5yrs older than the '23 sitting right next to it and more likely to develop issues here and there, as the years wear on.

Everything has its worth. A lot depends on how long you intend on keeping the car.
