So i have been getting a lot of hot air coming from my vents even though all ac / climate control is off. It smells almost like its burnt. Oil temperature is normal and the car seems to be running like normal, but it doesn't seem right at all. Would like to know if this has happened to anyone else.

Is the recirculation on or off? If it's off the vents are open and will allow outside air to be pulled in as you drive.

Yeah i understand the air coming in, but usually it would be almost the exact temp of the outside air. I dont think it is supposed to be that hot

It would never be the exact temperature of the air outside, air is likely being pulled from the base of the windsheild. Which then is immediately super heated from the engine compartment. Unless it is just awfully cold, youlll always going to get warm air.

Yeah i understand, ive had it opened literally since the lifespan of the car.
Im just saying this isnt a normal temp/smell that has been coming out of it.

The climate control system is mysterious and complex, to me at least. I noticed last summer that sometimes when the outside air was pleasant, and I felt that I could dispense with the climate control being on, when I turned it off and invited outside air only inside, that the air coming through the vents was "stuffy", i.e. warm. Not "hot", though.

Yeah ive had that happen before too.
This is just something else im almost sure of it.
Going to get her checked out in a bit. Hopefully its something small or nothing at all

Yup, get it checked. You’ve got enough miles on it to have burnt off any ‘factory’ smells and any air coming in should be roughly ambient temperature. Various people have had a range of issues with some Stingers but I’ve not heard of this one before.
